Trey Keepin was born in Chicago, Illinois, and has lived most of his life in New Mexico. Since the age of seven, he has been playing clarinet and saxophone, and he has appeared on stage with Betty Carter, Chubby Checker, and John Mayall, to name just a few. Trey studied classical clarinet at the Vienna Academy of Music, but has never forgotten his musical roots in the Chicago blues. In performance he is as comfortable with the rocking sounds of Clarence Clemons as with the sweet swing of Benny Goodman. Trey is the Reedman-in-Demand, sharing his extraordinary musicianship, professionalism, energy, and passion with the Soul Deacons and their audience.
